The Real Estate Council of Alberta's Education unit manages the pre and post licensing education standards, programs, policies and development and delivery of RECA’s Re-licensing Education Program for industry members.

In general terms, the director of education is responsible for all of the activities of the education unit. In addition, the director of education acts as a resource for the Education Committee, and acts as a primary contact for industry and government liason. The director of education acts for the executive director in his absence.

The education coordinator plans, coordinates implements and evaluates RECA’s education initiatives and provides input and support to the director of education, Council and Council committees on education matters. They also provide recommendations on RECA’s pre-licensing and post-licensing education standards, the Re-licensing Education Program, policies and operating agreements with industry associations, educational providers and contractors and oversees the day-to-day development and delivery of RECA education.  

The education officer is responsible for providing support to the education department in the furtherance of RECA’s strategic plan through the development and delivery of RECA’s education products. As a member of the team, the education officer assists the education coordinator with the development, deployment and maintenance of pre and post licensing education courses and programs, and collaborates with industry stakeholders to implement education learning solutions.

The education administrator oversees the day to day delivery of RECA Education courses. Responding to inquiries regarding pre-licensing education including required qualifications and education requirements for re-entering the industry is one of the primary responsibilities of the education administrator. The Re-licensing Education Program enrollments and completions whether online or in the classroom are administered through this position.  The education administrator responds to technical issues, lost passwords, and logon problems for RECA Education online courses.  Support to RECA approved instructors is also offered by the education administrator.
