Resolution 2009-2 of the Real Estate Council of Alberta

WHEREAS by Section 11 of the Real Estate Act, the Real Estate Council of Alberta has the authority to make bylaws; 

At its meeting on February 4, 2009 Council passed a motion to amend the Bylaws as follows:

  • delete s. 30(2) as it is impracticable and has not been applied because its “per day” application would lead to greatly excessive penalties;
  • amend s. 31(1) and s. 32(1) such that the reference to subsection 82(1) (no longer in the Real Estate Act) is amended to s. 83 (Administrative Penalty Section) and
  • adopt the attached Bylaws Schedule 2 – Administrative Penalties:
