WHEREAS:
Section 12 of the Real Estate Act, confirms the Real Estate Council of Alberta (the “Council”) has the authority to make rules prescribing or adopting standards of conduct
and business standards for industry members;
At its meeting on August 6, 2008 Council passed a resolution to amend 23(1) and 23(2)
of the Rules to read as follows:
Re-licensing Education Program requirements
23(1) An industry member must satisfy all applicable re-licensing education
program requirements prescribed by council to retain a licence issued to the
industry member by the Real Estate Council of Alberta.
(2) The onus is on the industry member to be informed of any applicable relicensing
education program requirements.
